From a biological perspective, stress is a very specific and measurable phenomenon: a physiological and hormonal response to any external events that the brain perceives as a threat. This reaction once helped humans survive in the wild, but now it causes problems in our everyday lives.
At the meeting, we will discuss how stress can damage health, affect intellectual abilities, and explore techniques recommended by psychologists to reduce its level. No lectures this evening: we’ll engage in lots of conversations and questions!
