Description

"Circus" – this is the title of a play created by directors Nikoloz Sabashvili and Bakhva Tsereteli. The performance is part of the diverse repertoire of the Giorgi Mikeladze State Puppet Professional Theatre in Tbilisi and represents a significant theatrical experiment, where most characters are portrayed as marionettes.

The plot revolves around an exceptional clown from a small town who captivates the townspeople with his professional skills. The town continued its usual rhythm of life, and the clown expressed his affection for the people through original circus acts. One day, his daily routine changed dramatically. A talented and beautiful girl appeared in his life, and he fell in love with her. The circus director decided to invite the girl into the troupe, leaving the clown outside the circus, where he was gradually forgotten. Soon, however, the peaceful rhythm of life was disrupted: monsters invaded the town, residents locked themselves in their homes, the circus arena emptied, and everything fell into stillness. At this moment, the forgotten clown decided to help his fellow townspeople, trapped in their rooms, through his art. This journey restored his former glory and, most importantly, reunited him with his beloved.

The performance follows a unified logic of action development through synchronized scene changes, culminating in the expression of high moral ideals of goodness and love.
