The experimental play by the Georgian classic playwright, Polikarp Kakabadze, a symbolist-expressive drama titled "Three Daughters," is presented in an interpretation by director Salome Djijavadze. It introduces an alternative, documentary-artistic form, with a focus on femicide and the violation of women's rights. The main theme revolves around the question: in what reality does a woman have to exist? A reality shaped by society's attitudes, subjective opinions, and the fear of breaking personal comfort zone boundaries. Violence against women encompasses a wide range of violent acts, starting with verbal abuse and other forms of emotional violence, and ending with physical or sexual violence. Through the use of retrospection, the play presents contemporary reality. The main characters—three daughters—symbolize vulnerable members of society, and their actions drive the plot forward, attempting to break down systemic barriers.
