At our previous two meetings on the avant-garde, we explored this 20th-century phenomenon both through an artistic lens and through its practical implementation in the socio-political field.
The topic of our new session will be the futurists’ intrusion into the realm of gastronomy. They had opinions on everything — from how to run a state to how to bake a pie.
We’ll discuss:
● What did futurists imagine the gastronomy of tomorrow would look like?
● Why did the futurist Marinetti want to stop Italians from eating spaghetti?
● And we'll also reflect together on what the cuisine of the future should be — from your own perspective.
The session will be led by Pan Volynsky — philosopher, historian, and descendant of Polish-Soviet dissidents.
