Description

Tbilisi Gastro Week invites you to one of the most exclusive evenings of the festival at Ostigan Restaurant inside Paragraph Tbilisi, where two French chefs will present an extraordinary fusion of French technique, haute cuisine, and refined taste.

Guest chef Jacques Pourcel, holder of three Michelin Guide stars, together with French chef based in Georgia, Stephane Gortina, will create a truly exceptional dining experience.

The evening features a 6-course tasting menu, with each course paired with premium Georgian and European wines.

🌍 Throughout the evening, the wine program and guided tasting will be personally led by Florian Guilloteau — Director of Sommellerie at Ritz Paris, President of Nice Côte d’Azur Provence Sommeliers Association, Master Sommelier of French Sommellerie Union, and Saké Sommelier — together with Ana Godabrelidze, oenologist, Chair of the State Tasting Commission, and representative of OIV.

Guests will enjoy expert commentary on each wine, its aroma profile, structure, and pairing philosophy, transforming the evening into a remarkable sensory and wine journey.

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
