Description

“Snowball” is the title of the latest premiere presented to young audiences by the Tbilisi State Professional Puppet Theatre. For the first time in Georgian theatre, characters from the famous animated film “I Will Come as Rain” come to life on stage. Once again, the story follows the friendship between Snowball and a little girl who meet under unusual circumstances. The relationship between these two artistic characters expresses a unique perception of the world, as well as the timeless ideals of friendship and love. The girl teaches Snowball how to ask questions and speak, while Snowball introduces her to the secrets of his snow-covered kingdom and takes young audiences on a colorful journey through magical adventures.

For this production, playwright Ninia Sadgobelashvili specially created the play, which was directed by Giorgi Chanturia. The performance also features well-known songs arranged by Levan Gvazava. In terms of artistic and visual style, the entire production concept is inspired by the famous animation, with the characters presented as puppets. Additional artistic characters, the Sun and the Cloud, also appear in the performance. The visually rich set design and voice performances by famous singers Nugzar Kvashali and Manana Todadze make the show even more engaging and captivating.
