On November 28, Another Valley / On The Same Page will host a meeting with the author of From Mountains to Table: A Culinary Odyssey to Svaneti — Ksenia Fardjani, a researcher of Svan cuisine and culture, an entrepreneur, and the creator of several projects in Svaneti.

The Voice of a Small Valley: Why the History of Svaneti Matters to the World.
Participants will learn:
• how the region’s unique culinary tradition was formed;
• why many ancient dishes are gradually disappearing;
• what it means to live in a community where traditions have been preserved for centuries.
Culinary Masterclass
Guests will prepare a traditional Svan dish — lqlibe, once known as hunters’ food and now one of the most beloved dishes in Svan households.
