I brought some unique white Imeretian wines from my last trip and would love to host a tasting on April 26th at 7:00 PM (Saturday)
Line-up:
Simonica Tsitska 2024 – personally bottled by me. Aromatic, no skin contact, fresh and juicy pear in a glass
Sopromadze Tsitska / Tsolikouri / Krakhuna 2019
Sopromadze Tsolikouri Melqo Bazaleti 2019
These are older vintages from Sopromadze, with the old label – I managed to talk the winemaker into letting me take them for the tasting (not without a bit of resistance!)
Simonica Tsolikouri 2024 – also bottled by me, a great chance to try a wine with malolactic fermentation; creamy caramel aroma like “Korovka” candy
Freyas Wine Serenada (Tsitska 2023) – an Imeretian amber
What we’ll talk about:
The classic styles of Imeretian wines
Who, how, and why new trends are emerging in Imereti
What malolactic fermentation is, how it happens, and how to recognize it
Georgian natural artisan wine
European cuisine with Georgian twist
Breakfast all day long
Pet friendly.
