Sound Cleansing Ceremony — the First of the Year

On January 24 at 6:00 PM, we invite you to the first Sound Cleansing Ceremony of the year at Lumos.

The session will be led by meditation teacher, musician, and sound therapy practitioner Neli Agirba.

What does the ceremony include?
In Neli’s words:

“The purpose of the practice is deep relaxation, activation of the self-healing system, meeting and accepting one’s shadow aspects, and a deeper remembrance of one’s true essence. The process is always individual and unique.”

Session components:

• meditative tea made from South American and Far Eastern plants;

• sharing/synergy circle;

• sensing the physical body — activating the energy flow;

• pranayama — centering the body and mind, increasing psychic energy;

• inner concentration practice during deep relaxation with verbal guidance and Tibetan bowls;

• sound cleansing through vibrations of quartz crystal bowls, gong, harp, and various ethnic instruments;

• integration — a protective practice;

• returning to unity.

No prior experience or knowledge is required.

What to consider before the sound therapy session:

• avoid alcohol and meat on the day of the ceremony;

• refrain from eating at least 1 hour before the session (the longer the fast, the better);

• if possible, take a break from external information at least 1 hour beforehand;

• wear comfortable clothing, preferably made of natural fabrics;

• a notebook and pen may be very helpful for post-session reflection.
