Born in the birthplace of yoga, Rishikesh, Vasu began studying yoga from early childhood and now offers a new, unique course at Lumos.
This is a balanced yoga course for beginners, designed to develop greater confidence in one’s personal practice, stability, and body awareness. Throughout the course, you will learn exercises adapted to modern life, guided by traditional Indian yogic discipline.
The course integrates movement, breath, and relaxation into a single, logical structure. During practice, you will work on both physical and energetic levels—mindfully, safely, and progressively.
What the course includes:
Backbends — with correct structure, alignment, and activation
Forward bends — focusing on deep stretching and inner calm
Meditation, breathwork, and relaxation
Backbends stretch the front of the body, open the chest, and release energy. When practiced correctly, they activate the air element (Vayu), create more space for breathing, and awaken life energy—prana—providing an ideal foundation for final meditation.
Forward bends stretch the back of the body and promote deep relaxation. They calm the nervous system and activate the earth element (Prithivi), enhancing stability and inner connection in the practice.
A balanced, deep practice of backbends and forward bends harmonizes the nervous system—supporting both activation and relaxation.
The course is intended for those seeking a safe, mindful, and in-depth introduction to yoga practice.
No prior experience or flexibility is required.
