Yakish and Pupche

A gloomy comedy Yakish and Poupche, who are both ugly and poor, and are matched together. The story begins when their relatives discover that the two cannot consummate a divine commandment for mortals: “Be fruitful and multiply”. The desperate couple starts to seek a way out. David Sakvarelidze’s production follows the sufferings of Yakish and Poupche.
