Gonzalo Rubalcaba — piano

Gonzalo Rubalcaba is a world-renowned pianist, composer, and multiple Grammy Award winner. In 1999, Piano & Keyboard Magazine named him one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century, alongside Glenn Gould, Martha Argerich, and Bill Evans.

He became the first Latin American musician to win a Grammy as a bandleader in the category “Best Jazz Instrumental Album.” Rubalcaba is recognized as one of the most influential artists in the world of contemporary jazz. His compositional voice, pianism, and unique approach to the instrument open entirely new musical landscapes.

His works blend elements of jazz, classical traditions, and Afro-Cuban music, forming new stylistic directions. Rubalcaba’s artistry and discography consistently receive the highest praise from critics and musicians alike. He is celebrated as a virtuoso pianist and a leading figure in Afro-Cuban jazz.

Ricky Rodriguez — bass

Ricky Rodriguez, a Puerto Rican bassist, moved to New York early in his career, studying jazz with his idols Larry Grenadier and Scott Colley.

Within a short time, he began performing with legendary jazz musicians and today collaborates regularly with leading figures of contemporary Latin jazz.

Rodriguez appears frequently at major jazz festivals around the world.

Ernesto Simpson — drums

Ernesto Simpson, a world-class drummer and percussionist, has a musical background spanning continents and genres, including Afro-Cuban styles, jazz, funk, fusion, pop, R&B, and Brazilian music.

From the beginning of his career to the present day, he has performed with some of the most renowned jazz musicians in the world.
