Description

XOSILITA is a multimedia artist, performer, choreographer, and dancer from Tbilisi. Her work focuses on exploring the body and movement as one of the freest forms of expression connected to the subconscious.

As part of the film screening and artist talk, two short dance films will be presented:

She Knows (2019, 4:16) — a surreal visualization of human inner imbalance and ambivalent nature. The work reflects the conflict between mind and body and the transformation of crisis into a survival instinct.

Daydream (2021, 2:53) — a work exploring the process of disconnecting from reality and entering an imaginary space as a psychological defense mechanism. Presented as a form of contemporary meditation and ritual.

The workshop “Imagine, Feel & Move” is a guided movement practice open to everyone (16+). Participants will work with the limits of movement and mind, awakening deep sensations, transformation, and grounding practices.

The workshop includes interactive exercises and small games that help build connection between participants, expand imagination, and deepen body awareness.

No previous experience is required.

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
