High school student Hodaka Morishima moves from his small hometown to Tokyo, where he quickly runs out of money and gets into trouble. When he gets a part-time job at a magazine writing about the supernatural, the weather turns bad and endless rains begin. In the hustle and bustle of the big city, Hodaka meets a girl named Hina Amano, who has an amazing ability to dispel clouds and stop the rain.
