Description

Have you ever wondered how many colors exist in nature?

Or how they influence our everyday lives?

Can colors change our surroundings, our mood, or even our appearance?

Everything in nature has its own color. According to the Atlas of Colors, there are approximately 7,000 colors in the world, 4,000 of which even have their own names. Yet humans can distinguish only around 300 colors, while prehistoric artists used just four…

Did you know that the colors we choose can often reveal something about our personality?

The Tbilisi Museums Union invites you to “We Use All the Colors,” an educational and interactive program at the Vakhtang Chabukiani Memorial House Museum.

The program begins with a tour of the museum, followed by a fascinating journey into the world of colors. Participants will explore color symbolism and discover interesting stories associated with different colors.

At the end of the program, participants will bring a “black-and-white world” to life with color and create their own original designs for colorful clothing.

Participation is available both individually and in groups.

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
