A tour with light hiking elements!

First stop – Vashlovani National Park: Eagle Canyon
This is where eagles soar close above your head!
We’ll hike about 1.5 km along rocky trails above the canyon, watching the majestic birds and enjoying stunning views.

Second stop – the canyon below
A magical place that feels like a mix of Birtvisi and Lagodekhi — but much more accessible!
We’ll walk around 3 km along the riverbed, exploring waterfalls — including cave ones!

Third stop – the highlight of the trip: the mighty Khornabuji Fortress
One of the most challenging and impressive fortresses in Georgia!
This ancient citadel has several tiers — we’ll climb them all and reach the top for a breathtaking view of the Caucasus Mountains and the Alazani Valley.

Fourth stop – Elia Monastery
A half-rock-hewn monastery perched high above the valley — one of the oldest in the country!
Perfect place to relax and take in the dizzying panorama.

Bring your own snacks — we’ll have a picnic on the way!

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
