Conference dedicated to Ioseb Grishashvili
On April 24, 1889, poet and public figure Ioseb Grishashvili was born. His creative life was deeply connected with Tbilisi and the depiction of its urban character — a theme that continues to inspire modern literature and art.
As part of the anniversary events dedicated to Grishashvili, the National Scientific Library of TSU and the Faculty of Humanities at Tbilisi State University are organizing the scientific conference:
“Tiflis Bohemia — Urban Stories of the 18th–20th Centuries in Literature and Art.”
The conference will focus on research in literature, history, and art, new interpretations of cultural spaces, reflections on historical and social contexts, and the diverse identities, language, and creative dynamics of the city.
Professors and researchers are invited to participate.
