Theatre Tour for Children

Theatrical Workshop 42 invites children on a magical backstage journey — the tour continues!

Dates: May 22, 23, 27, 28 at 14:00
Format: Masterclass "The Story of Theatre" for children

Groups: Minimum 10, maximum 20 children
Age groups: 6–8 years and 9–11 years

"The Story of Theatre" is a 1-hour adventure where children will learn:

• What happens in a theatre

• How performances are prepared

• What the stage and backstage areas look like

• How actors and makeup artists work

• Who works behind the scenes

• What theatre equipment is used and why

• What visual language in theatre means

• Why theatre is called a magical world

Children will breathe in the "dust of the stage", try on wigs, and discover backstage secrets unknown to those who haven’t taken this tour!

The tour includes:

• Welcome and exploration of the theatre foyer

• Backstage tour (makeup rooms, costume department, dressing rooms)

• Discovering the stage and the audience hall

• Introduction to lighting and sound equipment

• And if you’re lucky — a sneak peek at a rehearsal as a special bonus!

The tour is designed for children aged 6 to 11.
