The Wagon of the Rebels

A guest performance by the Ushangi Chkheidze Zestafoni Professional State Drama Theatre in Tbilisi, at the Akaki Khorava Actor’s House.

The performance is inspired by the words of Koki Dadiani — “Even the bones think about Georgia” — and is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the 1924 uprising.
This historical-documentary drama brings to life one of the most tragic chronicles of the 20th century: the Soviet occupation of Georgia, the August uprising, emigration to France, and the unstoppable pursuit of independence. The production becomes an act of remembrance — a fight against oblivion and a reflection on the price of freedom.

The project was implemented within the framework of the Ministry of Culture’s residency program at the Georgian estate in Leuville (France).

A co-production with the Akaki Khorava Senaki Professional State Drama Theatre.

Important: during the performance, the audience will be seated on stage. After entering the hall, an usher will assist you in selecting an available seat. Please note that seating is limited.
