Two people. One night.
A question — what does the second half of life look like?
This is a meeting where the past and present intertwine,
where words sometimes hurt more than silence,
and where every phrase becomes a choice — to stay or to leave.
The night stretches on, time changes,
but the central question remains the same —
how each person continues the second half of life, and at what cost.
The creative collaboration between director Sopho Kelbakiani and playwright Maka Kukulava began at Temur Chkheidze’s workshop. The play “The Second Half” was written within the framework of the Center for Contemporary Art Development, led by Mr. Temur.
Four years after his passing, a stage named after Temur Chkheidze was opened at the Marjanishvili Theatre. It is symbolic that “The Second Half” will be staged on this very stage in Sopho Kelbakiani’s interpretation.
The performance is dedicated to the bright memory of Mr. Temur.
