The Psychology of Lies

📣 The Academy of Thinking will host a salon-style discussion with Dr. of Psychology and Gestalt psychotherapist Tea Gogotishvili, holder of the European EAGT accreditation and EAP certification.

The meeting will take place on April 1 and will focus on an in-depth exploration of the psychological mechanisms behind lying:
why we lie, when self-deception begins, and how lies influence relationships and the process of self-perception.

Both individual and interpersonal dynamics that shape and maintain deception will be examined.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• understand the role of lying in psychological processes
• identify defense mechanisms
• better recognize their own and others’ behavioral strategies

The salon discussion format encourages dialogue, analysis, and reflection based on personal experience.

Duration: 2–3 hours.
