The Musical World of the Handpan

On January 31, the band Hangi presents a magical handpan music evening at Lumos, featuring original compositions performed with handpan, saxophone, and vocals.

The handpan is a high-frequency instrument, often regarded as therapeutic and meditative. Along with musical enjoyment, you can expect a deep therapeutic experience and a unique inner journey.

Hangi is a 14-member musical collective creating original melodies with the handpan as the leading sound.

Notably, the group formed spontaneously through numerous friendly gatherings. The people who are now members of Hangi initially came together out of a shared love for the handpan and gradually discovered a common field that allowed fourteen diverse individuals to work harmoniously and take great joy in creating new music together.

This time, you can hear our handpan teachers, Lina and Petre, in the format of “Handpan Evenings.”

Lumos guests will be welcomed into a harmonious, mystical, and calm atmosphere filled with handpan resonance, emotional vocals, and the deep layers of saxophone.

Our shared intention is to pass on to listeners the gentle joy and serenity that each participant experiences while playing.
