The Killing of a Sacred Deer

A successful surgeon lives happily with his family until he encounters a force from the past demanding retribution, which he is unable to resist.

«The Killing of the Sacred Deer» is an attempt to extend the laws of ancient Greek tragedy to our days: it turned out to be a slow and cruel film about the monstrous justice of the law «an eye for an eye». The inevitability that the characters face cannot be called anything else but fate, and after resolution, the audience suppose to experience catharsis.
