💡 On September 18, the Academy of Thinking will host a salon-style discussion with Ketevan Mukhiguli, Doctor of Social Sciences, on the topic “The Individual and the Era — A Philosophy of Change.”
Every era presents people with new questions, values, and challenges. During the lecture, we will explore how society shapes the individual and, at the same time, how an individual can influence and transform their own era.
Through historical, philosophical, and cultural examples, we will examine the nature of change, the interaction between the individual and society, and the forces that transform human identity over time.
The fundamental aim of the lecture is to understand change not only as a historical process, but also as a philosophy of personal development. We will discuss how a person’s worldview is shaped by culture, tradition, technology, and the social environment, and how critical thinking becomes a key tool for engaging in dialogue with one’s era.
The lecture will also explore different models of the relationship between the individual and their time, shifts in cultural paradigms, the influence of contemporary society on identity, and the ways in which we can develop a deeper understanding of both ourselves and the society we live in.
🍰 A buffet and a welcoming atmosphere will be provided during the event.
⏳ Duration: 2–3 hours.
