CURATOR ALEXANDER FLORENSKY

Tea Ebanoidze was born in 1975 in the village of Tsebelda (Abkhazia).
As a child, she drew a lot. During the war in Abkhazia in 1993, her family was forced to leave home and move to Tbilisi. Thea has never studied painting, she is self-taught (she started painting as art therapy in 2019). She worked especially hard during the 2020-2021 pandemic.

Van Gogh and Pirosmani are the artists who influenced Thea the most. In her works, Tea uses gouache and paper. The artist lives and works in Tbilisi. All works presented at the exhibition were created in 2023-2024.
