On September 20–21, the Tbilisoba feast will come to life at the Ethnographic Museum — and the preparations for this traditional celebration have already begun!
We will mark Tbilisi’s anniversary with true festivity: autumn-inspired decorations, a vibrant fruit and vegetable market, and a traditional Georgian supra will welcome you into the spirit of Old Tbilisi.
Throughout the day, the charm of Tbilisi will be enhanced by authentic city tunes performed by the creative team of Ethno Dukani. Adding to the festive color will be the rare sounds of the arghni, the traditional drum-harmonium, and lively dance performances.
As always, guests will be greeted by Nodari Babu with a glass of freshly distilled chacha. And for those who wish to take part themselves — grape pressing in the winepress, baking bread in the tone oven, grilling mtsvadi, or dipping churchkhela — master craftsmen will share their skills and invite everyone to join the festive whirl.
17:00 — start of the musical program and various activities
On September 20–21, we look forward to welcoming both adults and children to a rich and joyful Tbilisoba at the Ethnographic Museum!
