Description

The Philologists’ Club of the Faculty of Humanities at Tbilisi State University will hold the first Student Scientific Conference dedicated to the memory of David Tserediani on March 25–26, 2026.

Those wishing to participate must submit their abstracts by February 27, 2026, to the following email address: filologtaklubi@gmail.com.
Conference participation format: in-person (oral presentation).

A written statement from a professor, the student’s academic supervisor, is mandatory, confirming that the abstracts meet the scientific and technical requirements of the conference and may be presented at the First Student Scientific Conference of the Philologists’ Club of the Faculty of Humanities of TSU, dedicated to the memory of David Tserediani.

Conference venue: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia.
Working language: Georgian.

Within the framework of the conference, a photo exhibition and an exhibition of students’ artworks dedicated to the memory of David Tserediani will be held.

Abstract submission guidelines:
Please include the following information in a single combined document (MS Word):

  • author’s first and last name;

  • title of the abstract;

  • name of the institution;

  • name of the faculty;

  • main text of the abstract (MS Word);

  • 3–5 keywords.

Format — A4
Font — UNICODE (Sylfaen)

The main text of the abstract/article should begin on a new page, using 12 pt font size.

Photographs and other graphic materials must be submitted in electronic form in JPG format.
Abstract length: 100–150 words.

The cover page should be formatted in the following order:

  • author(s) — centered, 12 pt font;

  • title — centered, 12 pt font;

  • institution, e.g., Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University — centered, 12 pt font;

  • faculty name — centered, 12 pt font;

  • keywords;

  • main text of the abstract.

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is the oldest and largest higher education institution in Georgia. It was founded on February 8, 1918 (January 26 according to the Old Style), on the feast day of David the Builder, in Tbilisi, in the building of the former gymnasium.
On September 3 of the same year, it was officially named Tbilisi State University. At that time, it was the first and only university in the entire Caucasus.
