Simple Music Ensemble World & Auditoria

Auditoria is becoming Simple Music House Tbilisi — the permanent Tbilisi residence of Simple Music Ensemble World.

We are opening the concert series with a programme dedicated to the music from the films of Paolo Sorrentino.

For Sorrentino, music is not merely an accompaniment to the image, but an independent part of his cinematic language. It creates contrast, argues with what is happening on screen and sometimes tells us more about the characters than the dialogue does. In his films, a liturgy can turn into a music video, a party into a meditation on death, while the sacred is constantly confronted with the everyday.

Classical music, contemporary compositions and original scores by Lele Marchitelli come together to create a world of sound in its own right.

On September 27, it will come alive on stage.
