October 31 — SON LUX

A unique musical experience you won’t forget. On October 31, the Academy will host a concert by Oscar-nominated American post-rock band Son Lux.

Son Lux challenges established ideas about the process of making music, building its distinctive sound at a molecular level and shaping a musical language rooted in curiosity and the balance of opposites. Over the past two decades, the band has released numerous recordings characterized by sincere emotional intimacy and meticulously crafted electronic structures, while performing at some of the world’s leading concert venues and festivals.

The band created the soundtrack for A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Son Lux themselves received two Academy Award nominations and a BAFTA nomination for their work on the film.

They also composed the music for Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* (2025) and the upcoming film Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (2026).
