The play “So What If It's Wet, the Wet Lilac” explores Georgia's recent past and the so-called “lost generation” — the memories that the human mind often forgets or chooses not to revisit.
Set in the 1990s, the story unfolds in an abandoned lemonade factory that has been converted into communal housing. Three friends who survived the war in Abkhazia and have since become addicted to drugs are hiding there, seeking refuge from criminal figures, the police, and their own families.
Also living in the building is Nia, a young woman from a parallel version of “Georgia” who possesses supernatural powers. She tries to help the three friends and guide them toward a better life.
Nia represents their only hope — the one person capable of transforming their lives, which have lost their meaning and purpose.
