Description

On Sunday afternoon, we invite you to a meeting about how collective thinking works and why certain forms of democracy function in some countries but not in others.

Each country possesses one of four national psychotypes. These psychotypes determine what people can unite around and what they cannot; where they are capable of being organized and where they are not. They also largely shape how countries relate to one another.

This theory is a continuation of Dmitry Uznadze’s “Theory of Set” (a Georgian psychologist and philosopher, one of the founders of the theory of set in psychology) and describes the part of the human psyche that is not biologically determined. It is precisely this part that often creates conflict between the individual, society, and basic biological needs.

All four psychotypes will be examined through the examples of four countries: the USA, China, Russia, and Georgia.

The meeting will be led by Ilya Krikheli, a researcher and representative of the Noology Association.

“Noology” (from Greek nous — “mind” and logos — “study”) is a scientific approach to the study of human consciousness and behavior.
