On July 25 – Mono Hall Batumi and Boom Boom Booking Agency present – Widely well-known French duo – Polo & Pan at Batumi Tennis Courts.
Polo & Pan have long called Paris home. After meeting as resident DJs at Le Baron nightclub in the 2010s, French-American Paul Armand-Delille and Frenchman Alexandre Grynszpan played together often, growing a loyal audience of dance music fans that followed them from Le Baron to warehouse raves, and across the French club and festival circuit. Years later, with a wish to develop their musicianship, they transitioned out of clubs and into the studio as Polo & Pan.
The breadth of their musical knowledge and personal chemistry led to real success: by late 2024, the duo had over 2 billion streams across the major platforms, with 3.2 million monthly Spotify listeners. Along with several EPs released through Hamburger Records and Ekler, they reached international audiences with breakthrough singles: 2016’s Canopée, 2018’s Naña and 2021’s Ani Kuni. Their first two albums, “Caravelle” and “Cyclorama", are Gold- and Platinum-certified.
Polo & Pan have toured globally. They’ve performed at iconic North American events such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Electric Daisy Carnival, as well as venues like the LA’s Hollywood Bowl, Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre and New York’s Avant Gardner, among myriad others across Europe and North and South America.
“We learned how to truly play our instruments to improve the craftsmanship of our music,” says Polo & Pan. “We refigured our studio so it could all be connected — playable and recordable with ease — and largely recorded to tape through analog microphones. We wanted to tap into a bygone era of quality recordings: where the music had character and the focus was on recording in person.” The majority of the vocal and musical collaborations were recorded in the studio, with a focus on quick, naturalistic writing: “We kept the first takes as much as possible, because our philosophy is not to force it”, says Polo & Pan.
