The Georgian National Honored Dance Ensemble Egrisi invites you to the grand performance “P H A R N A V A Z I A N I”.

This evening celebrates the 30th anniversary of the ensemble, the 55th birthday of Artistic Director Giorgi Filishvili, and the 85th jubilee of founder Mr. Vladimir Filishvili.

Witness a two-act folkloric-ballet performance that takes you back to the 3rd century BCE and tells the story of King Pharnavaz I and his fight for a united state against foreign conquerors.

With its deep meaning, captivating choreography, skilled young performers, impressive props, and exquisite costumes, this production will leave no viewer indifferent — regardless of age.

Tbilisi State Russian Drama Theater named after A. Griboyedov - the first professional theater group in the Caucasus, the oldest Russian theater in the post-Soviet space. The theater was founded in Tbilisi on September 20, 1845 by the Governor of the Caucasus, Count M. At the request of Vorontsov. Many prominent people started their careers from the Griboyedov Theater. Since 1999, the theater has been directed by Avtandil Varsimashvili, laureate of the State Prize of Georgia. In 2013, the Griboedov Theater received the Theater Star Award in the nomination Best Russian Theater Abroad.
