“Personality and Self-Esteem”
The course explores the importance of self-esteem and its impact on personal development through the lens of different psychological schools. Participants will learn about the essence of self-esteem, assessment methods, the causes of low self-esteem, and coping strategies. The program incorporates perspectives from attachment theory, schema therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which explain how self-esteem is formed and developed.
The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical techniques to improve low self-esteem, helping participants enhance both personal and professional growth.
Course topics:
The essence of self-esteem, general overview. “Low self-esteem,” its qualitative and quantitative parameters. Introduction to the self-esteem questionnaire.
Personality self-esteem from the perspective of attachment theory.
Personality self-esteem from the perspective of schema therapy.
Personality self-esteem from the perspective of cognitive-behavioral therapy and ways to overcome low self-esteem.
About the lecturer:
Ketevan Abdushelishvili — psychiatrist, EABCT-accredited cognitive-behavioral therapist, Doctor of Medicine.
Associate Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Caucasus University.
Head of the Crisis Mental Health Intervention Service in Tbilisi.
