A new Netflix release — a continuation of the cult series.
The 1940s, the height of World War II. Years after the events of the series, Tommy Shelby, leader of one of the most dangerous street gangs, returns to a bombed-out Birmingham, where he once left his son behind. The boy has followed in his father’s footsteps, drawing Tommy into a new and sinister conspiracy. Old alliances begin to crumble, and the new threats no longer come from the streets of Birmingham, but from games on a much larger scale. The deeper he gets, the clearer it becomes: this time, the main enemy is not rivals or the state, but his own inability to stop.
What unfolds before us is the story of a man who has constructed himself as a myth — and is now forced to live inside it, unable to step beyond its boundaries.
