Otaraant's widow

The only son of the Widow of Otarant, Giorgi, decides to become a hired worker in the house of his former master. The proud widow is tormented by anxiety, realizing that her son has fallen in love with the nobleman’s daughter, Keso. Giorgi serves the young lady devotedly, turning the household into a flourishing garden, yet he never dares to reveal his feelings. After falling from a haystack, Giorgi is mortally injured and confesses his love to Keso only at the moment of death. One winter day, the Widow of Otarant is found frozen beside her son’s grave.
