Description

Written and directed by Nino Haratischwili Translated by Anna Kordzaia-Samadashvili Set design by Julia B. Nowikowa Costumes by Gunna Meyer, Nino Nutsa Chkonia, Avtandil Modebadze Make up by Anuka Murvanidze Cast: Nino Burduli, Natuka Kakhidze, Nata Murvanidze A crude mansion, a civil war is raging outside. The general, the highest official in the country and the head of the house, has fled. All employees have escaped except for the tree of them: the cook Rina, the housekeeper Kaela and the handmaid Lucy. Despite Rina and Kaela’s attempts, the war penetrates all barricaded windows and locked doors, into the minds of the isolated women. When the fight for dominance breaks out between Rina and Kaela, Lucy becomes their plaything. The opponents seem to be willing to use any means to humiliate, denounce and break the other. The apparent place of safety, the home, turns into a battlefield and the prospect of escape is becoming increasingly impossible. Supported by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung South Caucasus & Goethe-Institut Georgien
