Join us at Mziuri Café for a screening of Nobody Is Seen, a documentary by Kote Kalandadze.
Forty-two-year-old Achiko has spent the last ten years in Georgia's state opioid substitution therapy program alongside his brother, Goga. Living alone on the outskirts of Tbilisi, he follows the routine imposed by the system, yet finds little hope for genuine recovery.
Struggling with loneliness and everyday hardships, Achiko continues searching for a way to rebuild his life. His greatest source of encouragement is his eight-year-old niece, Elene.
Every attempt to move forward—whether applying for social assistance or finding employment—ends in disappointment. Still, he refuses to give up.
As war continues in Ukraine and Georgia stands at a crossroads, Achiko is left asking himself one difficult question: what will it take to truly change his life?
