Niaz Diasamidze & 33a

We are back with a new season at Mono Hall and invite you to the concert of one of the most beloved musicians and bands in Georgia — Niaz Diasamidze and 33a.

Niaz Diasamidze is equally gifted in many areas — apart from writing music and lyrics, he paints, makes wine, crafts folk instruments, repairs furniture, and who knows how many other things.

His music reflects the same spirit — created with knowledge and love for many different forms. It may sound like an unusual blend — reggae, rock, folk music, and gypsy songs fused with “Tbilisi sound” (in the broadest sense of the term — from duduk melodies to Otar Ramishvili). Sometimes all these elements appear within a single song.

The band’s popularity has much to do with this constant search and artistic sincerity. For over 25 years, “33a” has been recognized as one of Georgia’s leading bands. And it should be noted that “33a” is not only about Niaz — he is joined by some of the country’s finest musicians, without whom the band’s music would sound completely different.
