Description

At first, we have to consciously think about every movement. Later, attention itself begins to interfere. This is how we learn not only dance and acrobatics, but also how to walk to the fridge at night, reach emotional resolution in moments of panic, and arrive at a logical conclusion in familiar reasoning.

This lecture explores subcortical structures and cortico-striatal loops — how the brain transforms repetition into automatism, and why habits can be both a спасение and a trap.

Course Plan:

The Body Walks on Its Own. Is Movement Possible Without Control? (16.02.2026)

Sense of Rhythm. The Neurobiology of Precision (23.02.2026)

Neurobiology of Dance. Movement, Feeling, Thought (2.03.2026)

When Movement Becomes a Choice. Motor Cortex and the Illusion of Control (9.03.2026)
