"Portrait of a Lady on Fire" — Céline Sciamma

In collaboration with the creative community of Batumi, I decided to show a film I've wanted to watch for a long time — and it is incredibly beautifully shot cinema.

Céline Sciamma's film is a poignant story about freedom, gaze, and forbidden love. At the center is the artist Marianne, who is tasked with painting a portrait of the aristocrat Héloïse, who refuses to pose. Gradually, the work assignment turns into a meeting of two worlds, where gestures and silence speak louder than words. The film is a Cannes award winner for Best Screenplay.
