A masterclass by Medea Tabatadze will take place at the Academy of Thinking on the topic:
“Mid-Career Crisis — When It Appears and How to Respond.”
At the mid-career stage, many professionals find themselves in a situation where the job that once defined their motivation and identity no longer feels meaningful, no longer inspires growth, and leads to inner exhaustion. Questions arise:
Is it the profession? The organization?
Or is this a natural life stage I am currently going through?
During the masterclass, we will explore the anatomy of the mid-career crisis — why the illusion of an “impressive career” collapses, how organizational barriers and our own perceptions shape our relationship with work, and what happens when experience grows but meaning fades.
The masterclass will take a practical approach, showing how this crisis can be viewed not as a failure, but as a turning point — an opportunity for reassessment, change of direction, or a professional restart.
Topics covered in the masterclass:
when a mid-career crisis occurs and its key symptoms;
the meaning of the U-shaped curve in a career;
professional burnout vs. a values crisis;
professional barriers that contribute to a mid-career crisis;
productivity and emotional imbalance at the mid-career stage;
recommended strategies for overcoming the crisis.
The masterclass is designed for:
professionals with 20+ years (or close to that) of work experience;
managers who feel “stuck” in one position;
those who want to understand whether dissatisfaction at work is a professional issue or a life stage;
experienced specialists who, for objective reasons, are still seeking employment opportunities.
A light buffet and a pleasant atmosphere will be provided.
Duration: 2–3 hours
