Small Things Like These

The film transports viewers to one of the darkest periods in Irish history. It’s the mid-1980s, and the economic situation for most residents of the country is very poor and unstable. A caring father and coal merchant (Cillian Murphy, known from "Oppenheimer") discovers a shocking truth about the "Magdalene laundries" — Catholic correctional institutions for "fallen women."
