Tragicomedy about Nazi Germany, which the authors themselves called «anti-hate satire». The film tells about a young Nazi Jojo, nicknamed Rabbit, living in Germany in 1944. The boy is only 10 years old, but all he wants is to serve the Reich. So much so that his best friend is an imaginary Adolf Hitler. However, everything changes when it turns out that a Jewish girl is hiding in his house in the attic. From that moment, Jojo's worldview begins to fail badly.
This is a bright and colorful film, similar to a children's coloring book, with a completely out-of-age message. He is full of all that special crazy humor that the eccentric Waititi is capable of. Death, losses and the horrors of war break into this coloring world punctually, in rare and touching scenes. Beyond the safe threshold of the house, a war begins - absurd, colorful and sad.
