In the ideal Europe of the 1950s, when there was no World War II and all respectable cities faced the Mediterranean Sea, 13-year-old hereditary witch Kiki, according to tradition, flew away from her parents to bring happiness to a city where there was no witch of its own yet. Due to her lack of special talents, she has to engage in express delivery of packages on a broomstick, experience betrayal from a cat, forget how to fly, learn that the world is imperfect, fall into depression because of it, and ultimately grow up, but not too much.
