Ketevan Asatashvili Vard — Piano
Ketevan Asatashvili Vard was born in Tbilisi in 1987.
She began playing piano at the age of four with her mother’s guidance and entered the Tbilisi Music Gymnasium named after Zakaria Paliashvili at six, studying under the distinguished teacher Darejan Tsintsadze. From early childhood, she performed actively as a soloist and with symphony orchestras, soon attracting attention for her musical sensitivity and refined artistry.
Her international success started at a very young age — her debut competition, “Jeunes Pianistes” (Paris), brought her first prize, followed by numerous invitations to festivals and concerts across Italy, Greece, Russia, and Georgia. She has taken part in many international competitions and festivals, earning multiple awards.
Ketevan continued her professional education at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire named after Vano Sarajishvili, in the class of Professor Svetlana Korsantia, graduating with outstanding success. In 2011 she completed her master’s degree with a perfect score (100%) and was awarded the title of “Artist.”
Since 2019, Ketevan has been based in London, where she is active as a concert pianist. She regularly performs at prestigious venues such as the Britten Theatre (Royal College of Music) and the Royal Academy of Music, and is a resident musician at the historic Reform Club, collaborating with leading solo and chamber musicians.
Alongside her concert career, Ketevan is the founder of the British Georgian Music Academy in London and one of its most respected piano educators. She helps young musicians living in the UK gain early-stage concert experience and professional exposure.
