Kedr Livanskiy is one of the leading figures in the Russian underground, renowned both within and beyond its borders. Having absorbed the immediacy of 1990s pop, the influence of British rave electronics, and the sincerity of folklore, Yana developed her own unique songwriting style. It would later be dubbed “lo-fi” and “bedroom pop,” and Yana would be recognized as an icon of the genre.
Kedr Livanskiy has released five studio albums, including last year’s Myrtus Myth. Her international success is confirmed by rave reviews in Pitchfork and The Guardian, as well as her extensive touring schedule: from Spain’s Primavera to Uzbekistan’s Stihia, from European solo albums to a tour of Japan.
The program for her upcoming concert is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Heartfelt dances to old hits, the delayed premiere of a recent album, and the first signs of a spring thaw
