Quiet yet powerful, this almost entirely improvised film is about sorrow and healing.
Jim and Amanda were each other’s first love back in high school. After parting ways, they went on with their separate lives — until, twenty years later, Jim returns to his small hometown to prepare his parents’ house for sale. The two run into each other at the local grocery store, decide to grab a coffee, and revisit the past.
There was no script. The actors knew only the storyline and the essence of their characters — everything else was improvised.
