JAZZ&WINE Kakheti Festival

This year, Kakheti will host the JAZZ&WINE Kakheti Festival for the tenth time, traditionally taking place at the Tsinandali Estate.

The festival will be held on October 10, opening at 1:00 PM with a wine tasting. More than 40 Georgian wine producers will take part in this year’s event.

Festival guests will also enjoy a gastronomic experience, with Italian chef Maurizio Siciliano serving traditional Italian dishes accompanied by music.

Inspired by the legendary television show Soul Train, this energetic live music performance celebrates the golden era of soul, funk, and Motown.

At the heart of the project is JJ’s Hausband, a prominent Swiss funk band led by drummer and musical director J.J. Flueck. The group is joined by energetic American soul vocalist Reggie Saunders.

Over the years, the legendary Soul Train stage featured such iconic artists as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Tina Turner, The Jackson 5, Barry White, and many more.

Italian band Sugarpie and the Candymen is a distinctive act on the contemporary jazz scene, blending swing, jazz, blues, soul, and rock ’n’ roll.

The band is particularly known for its creative approach to iconic hits from music history, transforming them into completely new swing and jazz interpretations. Their repertoire includes songs by legendary artists and bands such as The Beatles, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, U2, The Doors, and others.

This project is based on the musical legacy of Fred Wesley, one of the most important figures in American funk and jazz, as well as a renowned trombonist and composer.

Wesley is especially known for his work with James Brown and The J.B.’s, where his distinctive trombone sound and arrangements played an important role in shaping the classic funk sound.

“Hearing Fred Wesley’s trombone makes me happy,” legendary James Brown once said of his work.

Fred Wesley has also collaborated with such renowned musicians as George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Count Basie Orchestra, Maceo Parker, and Ray Charles.
