“Matsuri” is a festival dedicated to modern Japanese pop culture.
Our goal is to support the development of contemporary popular subcultures such as anime, manga, modern Japanese fashion, K-pop, esports, and cosplay — while also introducing visitors to traditional Japanese culture through various activities.
The Matsuri Festival has been held since 2015 with the support of the Japanese Language and Culture Center. The event features signature elements of Japanese culture, including Japanese calligraphy (shodo), omikuji, origami, and more.
In a festively decorated open-air space, you will also find food stalls where you can taste authentic Japanese dishes prepared by Japanese chefs.
Throughout the festival, you can purchase a variety of items from Japan — fans, scrolls, manga, traditional sweets, anime figures, posters, and many other accessories related to Japan and anime.
The festival will also host cosplay and K-pop dance competitions!
